The Fuller Center for Housing, faith-driven and Christ-centered, promotes collaborative and innovative partnerships with individuals and organizations in an unrelenting quest to provide adequate shelter for all people in need in Louisville, KY.
We acquire/purchase vacant, abandoned or foreclosed upon properties to restore and utilize for affordable housing for community members. We utilize partnerships with community organizations, churches, and individuals who volunteer to help renovate each community house. We ultimately pass down those savings to our homeowners by giving them a 0% interest loan for 20 years!
The need is great in Louisville's West End community where over 5,000 abandoned homes reside. We are known as one of the only organizations that serves the most impoverished families in the community. We meet the affordable housing needs of those who are living at 30 – 50% average median incoming (AMI).
We truly pride ourselves in walking alongside the family in their homeownership journey giving them a hand up whenever needed. Our program has weekly expectations for six months of training before an individual or family can take on a mortgage. The comprehensive nature of our education program helps us minimize the risk of foreclosure and eviction.
